Over the past few years the government has been talking about very large numbers. When you hear things like we are going cut 100 Million dollars out of spending or we need to spend billions of dollars on xyz program our brains immediately think big number… but we really don’t know just how big those numbers are. In light of the recent budget arguments and the threats to shut down the government I thought I would post a video for you to help you visualize just how much money they are talking about. Once you see this and you have the complete perspective I’d love to hear your comments. I don’t know what the answer is but I can tell you this… If I borrowed (proportionally of course) as much money as our government does I could be a millionaire. I would need to borrow money to pay back the loans that I got previously but I’d have a lot of money… I just couldn’t spend it on the things I wanted or needed. Hmmm… think Ponzi scheme. I thought these were illegal.

If you check out the blog you will find quite a few visualizations that have a pretty broad range of topics… I liked the ones below in particular just because to me 100million sounds like a lot and the reality is so different and well the shots of Jack Daniels just have a way of making the trillions of dollars really stand out.
